Are you guys proud 2 posts 2 days! I will definitely be posting tomorrow since it’s Friday. But I want to try and make it 4 for 4. I’m sure I can!
I’m sure we all know about the hype adult coloring books are getting and I’m fully on board. I currently own 3 of them. “Be Still and Know” filled with beautiful pictures and bible verses, which I got from my best friend for my birthday. “Splash of Color” holding all the sea related pictures you could wish for, which I got for Christmas. Lastly, “The Magical Journey” by Lizzie Mary Cullen, which reminds me of own of my favorite animes and a wish my heart holds dear, which I bought myself.
As you can see I only have 2 completed and am working on my 3rd one.
Coloring each day is proven to help reduce stress. As an AP student, my days are filled with nothing but stress. I need to have a 3.5 GPA at the very least but I want a 3.8 GPA. Sometimes stress can lead to my work not reflecting my best abilities. It is my hope that if I color for 15 to 20 minutes before starting my homework that I will be able to improve.
I am also an artistic person in the sense of colors. Quite frankly, I suck at every other area in art. I can make physical things but I can’t draw to save my life. (I don’t think a gun will ever be held to my head with them demanding a drawing of a whale for my life) Colors relax me and feel like a home. (My sister thinks I have synesthesia: another post about that maybe sometime in January)
These coloring books give me a sense of hope and I believe there is coloring book out there for everyone. I wish you look in finding yours.
See you tomorrow,
P.S. I prefer colored pencils over everything else.
