I just wanted to start out by saying I’m sorry this is going up a few days late. But it’s better late than never. I also had a hard time deciding what to write about so I figured I should use one of my many notebooks for blog post ideas.
Since it is the holiday season I figured there was nothing better to talk about than cookies.
This year my family and I are going to be baking a lot on Christmas Eve. Personally, I love to bake and I hope some of you do too. Throughout the year I’m constantly begging my grandma to make more and more of her chocolate chip cookies but now it’s my turn to grab an apron.
I have gathered my weapons to begin my adventure which includes my best friend and Pinterest. (Link: https://www.pinterest.com/batwomen133/christmas-eve-cookies/)
The number one cookie I know I want to do is sugar cookies with the metal cookies cutters. This is because I have really young siblings and this will be the most fun for them. Then when the cookies are cooled they can take holiday themed icing and make the cookies fun. After the icing has set those will be the cookies we set out for Santa.
The next one I am playing with is holiday themed ones. Surprise. What I mean are things like gingerbread, candy cane, snowball. I want cookies you don’t normally find throughout the rest of the year. However, a Christmas in July party would probably be able to benefit from cookies like this. These ones would be unique and seeing how I do for the first time with the recipe will be cool.
Cookies involving Hersey cookies. I think I’ve said enough. I don’t care if they are “hidden” on the inside of the cookie or the main attraction of the cookie, I just want them there. These types of cookies, in my opinion, are most apparent this time of year. I’ve always wanted to tackle this head on.
With my best friend at my side, I am confident, this will all go well.
I will see you Friday and update you on the cookies on Saturday night while I’m waiting for Santa,
